BBNaija Star Doyin Vows Never to Join Nigerian Reality Shows Again, Cites Mental Health Struggles

Big Brother Naija alumna Doyin David has made a bold declaration, stating she will never participate in another Nigerian reality show. The former housemate revealed that her experience on BBNaija severely impacted her mental health and accused producers of misrepresenting her personality.
A “Crazy Experience” She Won’t Repeat
During an interview with Trendupp Africa, Doyin described her time on the popular reality series as traumatic. “My experience being on a reality show was mad. Very, very crazy,” she confessed. “I will never do it again in my life, not for any amount—except it is a show outside the country.”
Claims of Misrepresentation
The reality TV star alleged that producers manipulated her image to fit a predetermined narrative. “They portray you the way they want to,” Doyin asserted. “They have given everybody an impression of me that is not really true. A lot of people think certain things about my personality that aren’t who I am at all.”
Criticism of Nigerian Public
Doyin also took aim at what she perceives as the overly judgmental nature of Nigerian audiences, citing this as another reason for her decision. “Nigerians are too judgmental, so I’m not blessing them with my presence ever again,” she declared emphatically.
