In a heartbreaking revelation, veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George has disclosed her dire living conditions, stating she’s been homeless for the past five to six years due to poor health and financial difficulties.
During an emotional appearance on actress Biola Bayo’s podcast, George broke down in tears as she shared her struggles. “I’ve been sleeping in a church for six years now,” she revealed, adding that a woman known as “Church Mummy” has been providing her with food.
A Life of Hardship and Health Challenges
The distressed actress explained she reached her breaking point: “I’m tired and really exhausted. I can’t bear it anymore, which is why I’m coming to the public.”
George shared additional personal tragedies, including her 41-year-old daughter Adeola who has been missing for four years. Despite her own struggles, she continues to care for children at the church where she resides.
The actress revealed serious health concerns, stating she’s been ill since January 2nd, 2024. “I’ve done several tests and now need brain and heart tests that will cost N400,000,” she said, expressing uncertainty about how to raise the funds.
Mounting Medical Debt and Painful Existence
George disclosed she’s already borrowed N2 million for medical treatments. “I can’t sleep anymore because I’m always in pain. Everything is wrong with me,” she lamented during the emotional interview.
