Abdullahi disclosed that the police recovered:
- Two AK-47 rifles
- One Multipurpose Machine Gun
- Fourteen live ammunition rounds

- Rescue of the kidnapped octogenarian in good health
- Death of five syndicate members
- Arrest of five suspects including the kingpin, Yahya (35) from Katore Fulani settlement
The police spokesperson provided additional details: “The kidnappers, armed and riding motorcycles, had taken the victim from her home in Minjibir Local Government Area of Kano State. Following the report, personnel were mobilized and the victim was rescued unhurt and reunited with her family.”
