Ebule has chosen to study Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE) in Effurun, Delta State.
2025 UTME Statistics Revealed
Professor Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), shared key statistics from this year’s examination:
- 12,414 candidates scored 300 and above
- Only 4,756 candidates achieved 320 or higher
- Over 1.5 million candidates scored below 200 (the average benchmark)
This represents a significant improvement from 2024, when only 8,000 candidates (0.5%) scored above 300.

The UTME is scored out of a total 400 marks, testing candidates across four core subjects:
