Wike Allocates N1.78 Trillion FCT Budget for Completion of 14 Road Projects
Minister Prioritizes Infrastructure Development in Abuja
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, has announced plans to complete 14 ongoing road projects across Abuja using part of the proposed N1.78 trillion 2025 FCT statutory budget.

The minister made this disclosure on Wednesday while defending the 2025 FCT budget proposal before the joint Senate and House of Representatives Committees on FCT in Abuja.
Road Projects Across City Center and Satellite Towns
Wike explained that the road projects, located in both the city center and satellite towns, will be executed by two key agencies:
- Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA)
- Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD)
Key Projects Identified for Completion
The minister highlighted several critical infrastructure projects earmarked for completion, including:
- Completion of Roads B6 and B12
- Full scope development of Arterial Road N20 from Northern Parkway to Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX)
- Provision of engineering infrastructure to Guzape Districts
- Provision of engineering infrastructure to Wuye District
- Provision of engineering infrastructure to Maitama II District
This infrastructure push aims to improve transportation networks and urban development across Nigeria’s capital territory.
