Key Projects to Be Commissioned During the Visit
President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to make a one-day working visit to Katsina State on Friday, according to an official announcement by the state government. Dr. Bala Salisu-Zango, the State Commissioner for Information, disclosed the details during a press briefing held on Wednesday in Katsina.
Projects Set for Inauguration
The President will commission two major projects executed by the administration of Governor Dikko Radda. These include:
- Eastern Bypass: A critical infrastructure stretching from Dutsin-ma Road through Kano and Daura Roads, terminating at Yandaki in Kaita Local Government Area.
- State Agricultural Mechanisation Centre: A facility aimed at boosting agricultural productivity in the region.
Significance of the Visit
This marks President Tinubu’s first official visit to Katsina State since assuming office in 2023. The commissioner emphasized that the trip presents an opportunity for state officials to discuss pressing challenges, particularly insecurity, with the President.
Call for Public Support
Salisu-Zango urged residents to turn out in large numbers to welcome the President while maintaining law and order during the event.
