Governor Abdullahi Sule to Contest Nasarawa North Senatorial Seat in 2027

Official Announcement Made by State Pension Bureau DG

Nasarawa State – Suleiman Nagogo, Director-General of the Nasarawa State Bureau for Pension Administration, has officially announced that Governor Abdullahi Sule will be contesting for the Nasarawa North senatorial seat in the 2027 elections.

Governor’s Political Ambitions Confirmed

The disclosure was made on Tuesday during a meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Wamba Local Government Area. According to Mr. Nagogo, Governor Sule personally informed him of his intention to represent the Nasarawa North senatorial district.

“I have been in Wamba with a crystal clear message from His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, to simply introduce a very important subject matter to the people of my own home, Wamba Local Government Area,” Nagogo stated.

“That important message is to inform them that he is desirous of contesting for the office of Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2027.”

Committee Formed for Senatorial Bid

The governor’s aide revealed that a special committee has already been appointed to oversee the senatorial project, though he noted the committee is still in its early stages of operation.

“That committee is still a committee of work in progress because we have yet to reach any reasonable milestone in the process of executing this project,” Nagogo explained. “But I consider it imperative that, as the saying goes, charity begins at home.”

Highlighting Governor’s Achievements

Nagogo used the opportunity to highlight Governor Sule’s developmental achievements across Nasarawa State, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, and solid minerals exploration.

“At least, we need no emphasis to make our people realise the massive transformation he has carried out in Lafia, the state capital,” he said. “We need nobody to inform us about the very in-depth steps he has taken in improving the agricultural sector in Nasarawa State.”

The announcement sets the stage for what promises to be an interesting political development in Nasarawa State as the 2027 elections approach.
