Nigerian music superstar Davido has shared an emotional revelation about his newborn twins and their striking resemblance to his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in a recent interview.

The Uncanny Resemblance

Speaking with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, Davido described how his newborn son bears an almost identical likeness to Ifeanyi, who tragically passed away in 2022. “It’s scary. It is like literally him. We are like, ‘No, it’s him. He came back,'” the emotional father revealed.

The Tragic Loss

Ifeanyi Adeleke, Davido’s first child with wife Chioma, drowned in a swimming pool accident at their Lagos home on October 31, 2022. The devastating incident occurred when the child was just three years old.

Healing Through Family

The “Unavailable” singer opened up about how the tragedy led him to temporarily step away from music. “That type of loss made me be like, ‘I’m out’. I am just going to chill, take care of my wife and the family, and get my head right,” Davido explained.

A Divine Blessing

In what the couple sees as a miraculous turn, Davido and Chioma welcomed twins – a boy and a girl – exactly one year later in the United States. “To come back from that and be blessed with twins just shows that God is real,” the grateful father stated.

While maintaining privacy around their family life, Davido continues to share his journey of grief, healing, and the joys of fatherhood with his fans.
