APC Commends Governor Peter Mbah’s Developmental Strides in Enugu State
Opposition Party Praises Governor’s Achievements in Enugu North
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu North senatorial district has publicly commended Governor Peter Mbah for his developmental initiatives across Enugu State. The endorsement came during a stakeholders’ meeting held at Ogbete on Tuesday.

Enugu North as Major Beneficiary
The opposition party acknowledged that under Governor Mbah’s administration, Enugu North senatorial district (Nsukka zone) has been the primary beneficiary of development projects. The zone, which contains the highest number of political wards in the state, has received numerous amenities including:
- Smart schools
- Primary Health Centres
Internal Party Concerns Raised
General Okolagu, speaking to journalists after the meeting, expressed concerns about the party’s internal administration:
“We elected officers of the party but along the line, people who came into the party started suspending officers…I won’t be surprised if they wake up to say that I’ve been expelled from the party, even as a BOT member.”
Condemnation of Party Leadership
Former Speaker Eugene Odo highlighted key resolutions from the meeting:
- Criticism of ongoing crises in Enugu APC since Ugochukwu Agballa became chairman
- Allegations of illegal suspensions of party stakeholders
- Accusations against Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma for interfering in Enugu APC affairs
Call for Fair Federal Appointments
The stakeholders also addressed national issues:
“We condemn the lopsided appointments made by the federal government. The humility of Nsukka people should not be taken for granted…We ask President Bola Tinubu to treat Nsukka people fairly in his next appointments.”
Continued Support for Governor Mbah
Despite being in opposition, the APC members pledged continued support for the governor’s initiatives:
“We commend the strides of Enugu State government…We have seen good governance in Governor Mbah, particularly for Enugu North Senatorial zone which is the largest beneficiaries of the smart schools and the health centers.”
