While Hollywood mourns the death of actress Michelle Trachtenberg, the cause of her demise has been revealed.
Trachtenberg, known for her role as Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, died on Wednesday after she was found unresponsive by her mother.
While confirming her demise, law enforcement told TMZ that Trachtenberg’s body may have rejected the liver transplant she received within the last year, leading to complications.
But according to ABC in America, the actress died of “natural causes”.
“Trachtenberg is believed to have died of natural causes and no foul play is suspected,” they said in their report.
Michelle Christine Trachtenberg was born on October 11, 1985, and she started her career in television commercials at the age of three.
She rose to fame after starring in the 2004 film EuroTrip and in the CW TV show Gossip Girl (2007 – 2012).
Days before her passing, fans expressed concern over her appearance after she appeared sickly on social media.
While defending her appearance, she stated, “Explain to me how I look sick. Did you lose a calendar and not realize I’m not 14. I’m 38. How sad for you to leave such a comment.”
