Nollywood actress and producer, Georgina Ibeh has faulted actors who dictate cast for producers before agreeing to feature in a movie project.
In a video shared on social media, Ibeh said the practice is highly unprofessional but has become very rampant in Nollywood.
She recounted a recent experience with a budding actress who asked for the identity of other actors on the movie project for which her services were being sought.
Ibeh said, “I am calling you for a film and paid you your money and you even referred me to your management, which I don’t have a problem with, since that is how you want to do your own packaging.
“Where I’m coming from, I went for auditions before getting here. Some people are blessed not to have passed though such…but why should I call you for my film, pay you and you will be asking me ‘which actors am I going to be working with?’ What is your business with that?”
“You are going to be paid. Come, do the job and go home. Don’t be concerned about the actors you will be working with. Some will even go as far as suggesting that if you don’t have a particular actor, they won’t do the film.
“Let that nonsense stop. Don’t try it with me. Don’t try it with GI Films.”
