Afrobeats singer, Wizkid has broken records as all the songs from his new album, ‘Morayo’ are in the top 17 positions on Apple Music.
The achievement occurred less than ten hours after the album’s release.
The album, which was released today, November 22, 2024, pays homage to his late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who died in August 2023.
According to reports, the album’s lead song, “Piece of My Heart,” peaked at No. 4 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and No. 7 on the World Digital Song Sales chart.
‘Morayo’ also broke Nigeria’s streaming record, with one of its tunes receiving 1.57 million Spotify streams on its first day.
