Nollywood actor and Convener, Africans for Trump International, Joseph Okechukwu, has described his official invitation to witness the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, Mr Donald J. Trump as a lifetime honour he would not trade for anything.

Okechukwu, who shared a table with Hollywood’s Robert Davi, at a mini post-inauguration ball, revealed on his Instagram page that he has been a consistent supporter of Trump since 2016, when the US President first ran for the White House.

Whereas two other notable Nigerians, the General Overseer of Deeper Life Christian Ministry, Pastor William F. Kumuyi and gospel music icon, Nathaniel Bassey, were also officially invited and they announced this, Okechukwu initially chose to keep a low profile though he later made a post on Instagram, saying,  “Inauguration 2025, honour of a lifetime.”

Okechukwu, affectionately known as King Joe by his friends, explained further: “Recently, I was personally and officially invited to attend President Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States. It was the honour of a lifetime.

“Honestly, I wasn’t prepared for such a high honour. I didn’t see it coming. Maybe it’s true that time and chance happen to everything under the sun. I have attended presidential inaugural balls and met numerous distinguished individuals who have been honoured to serve in President Trump’s administration, one thing was evident: all of them love God and openly profess their faith. I don’t believe this is accidental, and I feel blessed to have shared the same space with these outstanding individuals.

“I would like to express my eternal gratitude to the inner circle ‘MAGA Brothers,’ especially my close friend “J” from President Trump’s campaign advisory team, who helped make this happen in grand style.

“I did not establish “Africans for Trump International” or campaign for President Trump over the years for recognition, a job, or anything of that sort. My motivation has always been to help usher in an age of sanity and common sense into our world. I was simply obeying God by choosing to side with good over evil. After listening to President Trump’s inaugural address, I have no regrets. I can only pray that God continues to grant him wisdom and strength to lead the United States of America and our world back to sanity, decency, and common sense.

“In the image below, you can see me sharing a table with Hollywood’s Robert Davi at a mini post-inauguration ball, where I was honoured to receive a hat with the Seal of the President of the United States. This hat, to me, was the icing on the cake. Overall, my #Inauguration2025 experience is one I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.

Sharing in his joy, many fans congratulated him. One of them posted: “Joe, you deserved it; you have worked so hard for Trump over the years.”
