A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fouad Oki has disclosed how President Bola Tinubu witnessed impeached speaker Mudashiru Obasa’s recalcitrant behaviour.

Obasa was impeached by Lagos lawmakers for gross misconduct and abuse of office and the development following accusations of spending N17 billion on a gate to the assembly complex.

Speaking on the development, Oki while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today stated that President Bola Tinubu’s attention was called over Obasa’s attitude.

According to Oki, Tinubu called a meeting to make sense of it all and he saw for himself the concerns raised.

“Before the president came home, this issue had been lingering. In the wisdom of members of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), the president’s attention was called.

“The president, as father and leader, called a meeting wherein he tried to make sense out of the observations raised by elders of the party.

“Unfortunately, the president saw by himself a recalcitrant. I think that is what broke the camel’s back.”
