The National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, has described Sly Ezeokenwa’s affirmation as the National Chairman of APGA and Edozie Njoku’s dismissal of his claims as a fulfilment of his earlier prediction that Njoku’s “dirty games” would be nipped in the bud.
Expressing delight that his prediction had come to fruition, Obigwe commended the Justices of the Supreme Court for using their latest decision on the APGA leadership tussle to expose and put an end to Njoku’s antics.
“I am not surprised because I predicted it would happen. When the impostor Edozie Njoku was playing his dirty games, I boldly said that, by October or November at the latest, his games would be stopped. I also said that APGA, as a party, would not die in the hands of Governor Soludo, despite claims from some quarters that he wanted to destroy APGA before defecting to the APC. They gave different interpretations to Edozie Njoku’s antics,” he said.
Obigwe recalled allegations by some that President Tinubu’s government was behind Njoku’s actions and that it was a political strategy by the APC-led Federal Government to take over Anambra State. However, he dismissed such insinuations, noting that President Tinubu would not sacrifice Governor Soludo, whom he described as an asset to his government, for “liabilities parading themselves as the current Anambra APC leaders.”
“I also referred to Governor Soludo as someone the impostor Edozie Njoku and his cohorts cannot play games with. The truth is that I was relentless in my media attacks against Edozie Njoku and his camp. Someone from their camp, whom I know well, constantly called me to urge that I stop attacking Njoku and that I should sheathe my sword. But my faith in Governor Soludo’s ability to ensure justice prevailed made me stand firm,” Obigwe stated.
He noted that while some people of little faith were deceived by Njoku’s schemes, others, including ardent supporters of Governor Soludo and Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, remained steadfast, confident that justice would eventually prevail in the APGA leadership tussle.
Obigwe added that those accusing Governor Soludo of planning to destroy APGA and defect to the APC have been proven wrong by the latest Supreme Court judgement. Similarly, he said those who alleged President Tinubu was behind Njoku’s schemes have now seen there was no basis for such claims.
“The coast is now clear for those of us who are ardent supporters of Governor Soludo to focus on doing everything possible to secure his well-deserved second-term re-election victory on the APGA platform in the forthcoming November 8, 2025, governorship election.
“The Supreme Court did not mince words in making it clear to the whole world that Edozie Njoku was never APGA’s National Chairman. It is finished for Edozie Njoku and his cohorts. If you are with Governor Soludo, there is no cause for alarm because he is not the kind of person to let soap get into his eyes—or the eyes of his followers—while swimming in the River Niger,” Obigwe concluded.
