It was a love story for the ages and a wedding that Lagos won’t forget in a hurry. Saturday January 25, Lagos, Nigeria witnessed a dazzling celebration of love, culture, and high society as Mary Odebeatu, the charming daughter of nightlife mogul and Ojez Restaurant owner, Mr. Joseph Anayo Odebeatu exchanged vows with her heartthrob, Emeka— son of Evangelist Myke and Stella Ikoku (All Seasons)— in the presence of the crème de la crème of business, entertainment, and politics.
The classy wedding brought together two prominent Igbo families with deep roots in the multi-billion-naira entertainment, hospitality, and music industries. From the elegant church ceremony to the lavish reception, where love, culture, and luxury blended seamlessly, every detail of Mary and Emeka’s big day exuded class and opulence. From the breathtaking décor to the electrifying performances and heartfelt speeches, every moment of the wedding exuded elegance and grandeur. Their love story, which began in London, United Kingdom culminated in a beautiful nuptial mass at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Yaba, after an equally superlative traditional wedding ceremony followed by a spectacular reception in Ikeja, Lagos. The event drew an enviable guest list featuring some of the biggest names in business, society and entertainment, including former Minister of Aviation, Mrs. Kema Chikwe, Emeka Mgbudum, Segun Arinze, Sunny Neji, Ejike Asiegbu, Paul Obazele, Emeka Ossai, Charles Inojie, Charles Novia, Aki (Chinedu Ikedieze), Alariwo, Zakky Azzay, and Blacky.
