Dame Olabisi Okunniyi, the Labour Party’s deputy governorship candidate in the Ondo State governorship elections to be held on Saturday, November 16, has hailed the judgment of the Appeal Court in Abuja, which removed Olusola Ebiseni as the party’s flag bearer.
In a statement signed by her media aide, Olubori Obafemi, Dame Olabisi Okunniyi said the judgment is a victory for the rule of law and all true Obi-dients, who infused positive energy into the Labour Party before the 2023 general elections. She vowed that impostors and political marauders would not be allowed to circumvent the Obidient Movement.
The former Permanent Secretary in Ondo State and Chairman of the defunct Owena Motel said it is time for all indigenes of the State to turn out and vote for the Labour Party’s mass prosperity agenda, as Nigerians are tired of the worsening poverty in the country.
“The Labour Party government in Ondo State shall be inclusive, transparent, accountable, and consultative, as every policy decision of our government shall be embraced from a bottom-up approach in ensuring that the Ondo people truly own their government and elected officials are true servant leaders to marshal the mass prosperity of the Ondo people.”
Olabisi Adu, a grassroots political influencer, also extended the Labour Party’s hand of fellowship to other political parties in Ondo State, encouraging alignment with herself and Dr Ayo Olorunfemi, the Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party, in returning governance in Ondo State to the masses, youths, and good people of the State. She asserted that the Labour Party is open to any ideological electoral alliance that will free the State from the clutches of those who prey on the common people in Ondo State.
The Labour Party Campaign Team is expected to conclude its political campaign tomorrow in Akure, the Ondo State capital, after their grassroots door-to-door engagements with voters in the eighteen Local Government Areas of the State, where the party leadership is expected to address the people of Ondo State on its agenda for the State.
