Afrobeats star David has bragged about the A-listers he has in his contacts list, revealing that he has the phone numbers of 14 presidents.
The ‘Blow My Mind’ crooner made the disclosure at the ‘Elevate Africa’ programme while sharing how music has opened many opportunities for his family.
According to Davido, he is sought after by presidents of the nations he visits as they are always eager to meet him.
“Aside from my dad’s businesses and wealth, I know how many doors my music has opened for my family. Yes o, forget the money. I have 14 presidents’ phone numbers. I can call them directly.
“In every country we go to, the president wants to meet us. That’s also promoting our culture. It’s an amazing feeling,” the artist said.
Daily Sun reported that Davido was criticised for his recent comments about Nigeria’s ailing economy.
Following the ensuing backlash, he disclosed that his December show in Lagos is under threat due to his comments.
