APC chieftain predicts victory for Aiyedatiwa, hopeful of peaceful polls – The Sun Nigeria

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Hon Jimoh Akeem has predicted victory for the governorship candidate of the party, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the Saturday’s governorship election.

Hon Akeem who was a former Senior Legislative Aide to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila also expressed belief that the election would be peaceful in all parts of the state.

He opined that Governor Aiyedatiwa will defeat all other contenders including the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Agboola Ajayi with a wide margin.

Hon Akeem who is a grassroot mobilizer enjoined the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agents to be neutral in the conduct of the election.

“I believe that the people of Ondo State are ready to exercise their democratic rights in a peaceful manner. Our focus should be on ensuring that every voice is heard and every vote counts,” he said.

According to him “Governor Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the development of Ondo State. His administration has made significant strides in various sector and I am confident that the electorate will reward his efforts with their votes.”

He said the APC believes in peace and urged members of the party to be peaceful even in the face of provocation by members of the opposition parties.
